Furniture Painting Workshop
Saturday 28 March | 9.00am – 4.00pm
Our Studio – Gundaroo NSW
Let’s celebrate a little bit of creativity… and get painting.
If you’ve been thinking about learning how to confidently paint furniture — or you simply feel like a creative day out — I would absolutely love you to join me in our studio in Gundaroo for a full day of hands-on learning.
From 9.00am through to around 4.00pm, we’ll cover everything you need to know about prepping, painting and finishing furniture properly — not just the “what”, but the “why” behind each step.
This is a relaxed, inclusive workshop where you can ask questions, try techniques, and build real confidence.
We’ll talk about:
• Proper cleaning and prep (and why it matters more than most people realise)
• Sanding — when to do it and when you don’t need to
• Choosing the right paint for the right piece
• Brush techniques and how to avoid common frustrations
• Creating different finishes — from smooth and classic to textured and character-filled
• Sealing and protecting your piece properly
• Adding detail with waxes, glazes, stencils, appliqués or decoupage
By the end of the day, you won’t just have painted a piece of furniture — you’ll understand the full process so you can confidently do it again at home.
Everything is supplied for you, including all paints, finishes, brushes and tools. Morning tea and a gourmet lunch are included, and yes — there will be a little champagne to celebrate your new skills.
All you need to bring is one small unloved piece of furniture (roughly the size of a bedside table or kitchen chair) to work on during the day.
Our studio is located in beautiful Gundaroo, just 15 minutes from Gungahlin — so you can enjoy a creative country day without travelling far.
Come on your own or bring a friend. It’s always a lovely mix of women supporting each other and sharing ideas.
The class runs from 9.00am until approximately 4.00pm.
Once you book, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details — including the studio address and what to bring.
I truly look forward to meeting you and spending a relaxed, creative day together.
Alison 🤍
