What are you doing Saturday, 12 July?   Why not join me for a fabulous day of learning the ins and outs of all things furniture prepping, paints and finishes? Unleash your creativity and give tired furniture a stunning second life at our hands-on Artisan Paint Workshop! In this inspiring session, you’ll learn everything you need to confidently transform an old piece into a unique showstopper that perfectly suits your style. From proper surface preparation and expert brush techniques to mastering finishes ranging from rustic chic to modern sleek, this workshop covers it all. Discover the art of sealing, waxing, aging, and glazing to give your piece character and durability. Plus, you'll explore decorative elements like appliqués, decoupage, and stencils to truly make your furniture one-of-a-kind. Whether you're a DIY novice or seasoned upcycler, you’ll leave with the skills—and the inspiration—to turn any find into a statement piece.

Everything you need to know about painting furniture will be covered - from sanding and prepping your furniture,  detailed painting techniques and finishes, adding detail, right through to choosing the right brush and how to finish your piece professionally.  You will learn about it all in a fun, relaxed and inclusive environment in our studio workshop in Gundaroo. 

Everything is supplied, including morning tea and a gourmet lunch. All you need bring is an unloved  small piece of furniture to work on - up to the approximate size of a kitchen chair or bedside table. During the workshop you will have access to all tools, paints, finishes, stencils etc to refinish your piece to suit your decor.  Come by yourself or with a group of friends and enjoy a day in the country (15 mins from Gungahlin) complete with champagne to celebrate your new found skills!
