Originally Wreaths were made from wheat or other harvested plants and were called harvest wreaths. The harvest wreath would 
be hung year-round & it was hoped that this ritual would bring protection against crop failure through-out that year.
 In modern times wreaths begun to be made from Rope to symbolise the strength of a family & also hung year-round in hope that 
protection was offered to the family of the house it hung on.
